Surfing has got to be one of the healthiest sports a child can do; fresh air, sunshine, and an immersion in nature - it really doesn't get any better.

But it can be an intimidating, not to mention dangerous environment - especially for young kids just starting out.

But everybody has to start somewhere right?

And that's why we're here.

To create a safe, nurturing learning environment where young kids can learn alongside a group of likeminded frothers that all share the same goal.

Building skills, increasing ocean safety and awareness, growing in confidence - and improving each week.

All in a 100% safe learning environment with qualified surf instructors breaking down all of the technical, complicated surf jargon, delivering it to your child in a fun, easy to understand format that's super easy for kids to follow 

And don't worry, we know how quickly kids at this age lose concentration and that's why we've structured these squads in a way that's filled with fun, games and excitement throughout.

What's more, we have a step by step online course component too, that marry's, compliments, expands, and reinforces all in-water surfing, drip fed out to students each week.

So even if they forget, or lose concentration in the moment - they'll have a backup they can take with them forever.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Each week the kids will be given challenges, drills and instruction to build on the skills they're developing.

With each week building on the last students will learn the right techniques at the right times to develop their skills as fast as possible - building ocean confidence and awareness in the process.

Over time they'll build up a solid technical surfing foundation week after week - something they'll have with them for life.

Understandably different children will be at different levels, which is why we split the squad into groups to make sure everyone is comfortable and safe, as well as challenged throughout.

The goal of our after school kids surfing squad is to arm your child with the technical skills to surf confidently in green unbroken waves unassisted, have the skills to trim and carve with ease, and do it all in a safe way - whereby they're confident i. the water, in waves, rips and everything in between.

Setting them up for a lifelong love affair with the ocean.

And once you've moved past the fundamental skill acquisition stage,  you'll be ready to graduate into our Surf Academy (where they'll learn more of the progression side of the sport).

With all of that being said, our biggest goal - above all else - is to empower each child with the confidence to be in the waves, and more importantly instil the love of surfing into their lives.
