Starting the day with a flow yoga,  surf coaching, and dive into natural wellbeing,  breath work and confidence workshops.
Get inspired, gain strength and flexibility, take your surfing to the next level, learn new tools for creating positive habits, enjoy the company of like minded women and learn how to up-level your mind and body.

Saturday

(Specific yoga routine for surfers to get you prepped for the water)

9:30am - 11:30pm - Surf Coaching

(Redefining the Pop Up, wave selection, equipment analysis)

Your coaches for the retreat:

Lauren is an ex-pro surfer from Noosa, Australia.

She grew up competing in Australia, before taking to the world stage of the WQS, travelling the world competing everywhere from Hawaii to South Africa, France to Huntington Beach.  

And since then, her mission has been to encourage more women to try surfing and to have them feel less intimidated, and included out in the water.

Lauren is a fully-qualified and certified Surf Instructor, Life Guard and Life Coach with over 10 years experience teaching surfers around the world. 

Christina has been involved in teaching different sports - from snowboarding and mountain biking to rock climbing.

And it was her passion for the outdoors that also drew her toward environmental work in wetland restoration, education and outreach for a number of years. 

Since 2008, Christina has immersed herself in the wellness field. She's traveled the world specialising in yoganutritionsports massage and global adventures. In addition her degree in psychology, has been essential in helping to develop corporate wellbeing programs, online courses, 1-1 coaching and retreats to help busy professionals, recreational athletes - and anyone with an active lifestyle.

Is food or Accomodation included?

Our surf & yoga retreat weekend includes your tuition only.

Where you eat and where you stay is up to the discretion of each participant. 

Can I turn up and pay?

All surf coaching weekends are to be paid in full before commencing. 

No money is excepted on the beach. 

What level of fitness do you require?

All participants must be able to swim. A moderate fitness level is sufficient. 

Do you supply equipment?

Yes. We supply surfboards.

However, we don't currently stock wetsuits.

Can I buy a coaching weekend as a gift?

Absolutely. This is a great gift for women surfers who are looking to improve their surfing.

Can I expect to improve my surfing?

Good surf tuition is fundamental to your surf progression. These surf coaching weekends are a great way to identify your weaknesses and build on your strengths.

Do I need to sign a disclaimer?

Yes. One disclaimer for the season is enough.

What happens if there's no surf?

We encourage surfers not to get too picky about the forecast because perfect waves aren’t necessarily best for coaching.

If conditions are unsurfable and we need to postpone the weekend, we’re more than happy to reschedule for a future date.

What do I need to bring?

If you have your own equipment then we suggest for you to bring it. Bring food, water bottle and appropriate sun protection. 

Where do we meet?

Classes are mobile between the Mount - Papamoa, with the primary location being Hart St access.

How do you teach the SURF LESSONS?

The  lessons have a mixture of land and water based tuition. 

Are the surf coaching weekends held all year round?

A bit of both.

We run the majority of our surf coaching weekends in the warmer months, between Sep/ Oct - March/ April..

However, we do have 'pop up' surf coaching weekends throughout the colder months. 

Are the weekends structured?

Yes to a certain degree. 

We like to plan or weekends, but sometimes the weather and the waves don't allow us to follow our itinerary. Hence the need to have a rough plan and make appropriate changes when necessary.

How DOES the booking process works?

We approach surf coaching a little differently to most...

To us, surfing is more than just pop-ups and cutbacks.  Sure, these things are important (and we cover them in depth of course), but there's just so much more to surfing than this.

That's why we take a more holistic approach - using surfing as the medium to empower women in all areas of their lives.

Which is why we centre all our classes around our unique eight-pillar system that focuses on far more than technique alone, to create a safe an nurturing space for you to push yourself and enjoy everything surfing has to offer.
