GREENWAVE RIDER 5-WEEK SURF PROGRAM

STARTING DEC 6TH

*THIRD PROGRAM FOR 2021 SEASON*

JUST THE GIRLS!

MONDAY

5:30 - 7PM

$295

A NEW DAWN...

You're starting to hit your stride now. You're surfing regularly, and really starting to get the hang of things.

Pop up issues and all the basics are a distant memory, and now you're focused on progression.

You want to add a little spice to your surfing, shake things up a little, and start not just riding waves, but performing on them 👊

But what does that next stage look like?

The next stage is where you take EVERYTHING that you've learned so far, piece it all together and start adding that performance element to your surfing.

That's gonna be you learning how to do your first ever floater, how to hit the end section (rather than running away from it), how to grovel in small waves, manoeuvre selection and prediction, hustling in the lineup...

...and a whole lot more.

And all of the above 👆 is what we'll be teaching you as part of the 5-Week Greenwave Rider Program.

In the program we'll take you through our unique structured progression roadmap where our instructors will breakdown all of the technical, complicated surf jargon and deliver it to you in a step by step format that's super easy to follow, all in a super fun 100% non-judgemental learning environment.

And if that's not enough, we have a fully fledged online learning portal - with detailed breakdowns, home workouts & things to practice - to nurture you for the duration of your 5-week surfing journey with us.

WHAT TO EXPECT

In the 5-Week Greenwave Rider Program the focus is on performance surfing and manoeuvres.

That means an evolution from the stage where you're just trying to hold on and make the wave, to a place where you feel at home in a busy lineup, where you're confident in your faculties, and your focus has shifted fully to progression.

In this program you'll learn:

  • The subtle art of how to grovel in small waves - how to find the power pocket, bounce, pump and weave.
  • The often overlooked principles for nailing floaters for the first time.
  •  What to do when you meet an oncoming section, and how to tag the hell outta that thing!
  • How to pick the right manoeuvre for the right section - every time.
  • Confidence hacks for owning your spot in a busy lineup, and feeling at home in the water everywhere you go.

This is where you're surfing will see a massive evolution away from merely passively surfing a wave - whereby you're simply holding on letting the wave dictate the show. To being fully in control and at the cause of events whereby you dictate where you want to be on the wave, what you're going to do on the wave - and when.

This program has been built from the ground up to guide you through this phase in your progression, and we’re here to help you every step of the way.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL...

BECOME PART OF THE TRIBE

By signing up to the 5-Week Program you become part of the tribe.

You’ll get instant access to an in-group private WhatsApp group, as well as access to the Bay of Plenty’s biggest women's surf community too.

With these resources at your disposal you can reach out for advice, hook up for surfs with women in the area, get notified about up-coming community surf events, and much more.

NON JUDGEMENTAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

We understand how it feels to start a whole new sport where you feel self conscious and intimidated, and lack a lot of confidence (don’t worry, we’ve been there too).

Which is why we’ve created these groups in the way we have;

You’ll be in a group with people at the same level in the surfing journey as you, in a nurturing, massively supportive environment throughout.

A STRUCTURED, OUTCOME-ORIENTED PROGRAM

All of the program material has been structured in a way to guide you through the key progression steps to help you improve - with the correct fundamentals - as fast as possible.

Methodically working from one stage to the next.

During the program you'll get weekly in-water coaching, online training and at-home practice.

ALL AGES*, ALL SIZES & ABILITIES

We welcome you all.

We've helped women of all ages - from *15 to 60+.

All abilities & agilities too.

We're here to give you the support and the guidance you need.

*16 is the youngest age we allow into the programs.

WHY CHOOSE THE HOUSE OF SURF?

The House of Surf was originally founded on the basis of helping more women get into the sport of surfing, to help them feel nurtured and less intimidated in the water.

And this core mission is still at the forefront of everything we do today.

Having helped literally hundreds of women in the Bay of Plenty alone (not to mention many more overseas) take their first steps into the sport of surfing, plus being home to the biggest community of women surfers in the Bay of Plenty (600+), we are THE go-to place for women to learn to surf - and improve - in the whole of New Zealand.

OUR APPROACH

We approach surf coaching a little differently to most...

To us, surfing is more than just pop-ups and cutbacks. Sure, these things are important (and we cover them in depth of course), but there's just so much more to surfing than this.

That's why we take a more holistic approach - using surfing as the medium to empower women in all areas of their lives.

Which is why we centre all our programs around our unique eight-pillar system that focuses on far more than technique alone, to create a safe an nurturing space for you to push yourself and enjoy everything surfing has to offer.
